Colour Run
#AscotColourRun is a major fundraising event for the Ascot State School P&C in 2019.
The FOVAD colour run will happen at 1pm to 3pm Friday 10th May 2019.
Parents are encouraged to come join their children in an afternoon of fun.
About the Colour-Run program
The School Colour-Run promotes healthy and active lifestyles while helping us raise funds!
It’s all about participation, with students treated to a great day as a reward for their fundraising efforts. Family support is key to our fundraising success and we encourage everyone to get involved.
How does my child fundraise?
All students have received an Orange Sponsorship Form with instructions on how to raise money and order prizes. Students can use online fundraising or can generate cash donations in their booklets.

What are we fundraising for?
These are the P&C priorities for funding in 2019:
1. air-conditioning
2. ipads, laptops
3. upgrade of tuckshop capability
4. playground refurbishment
5. educational initiatives such as STEAM

What to wear on Event Day
We suggest that the students come to school in plain clothes preferably a white t-shirt.
As this will be held outdoors students must wear a hat and sunscreen.
As children complete their run, teachers will be spraying coloured corn-starch on their shirts and lower bodies. Children can participate in the event but opt for “NO Colour”, should they wish.
If you have any concerns about the coloured powder going near students eyes please feel free to wear sunglasses/goggles.
Please also pack a towel for clean-up afterwards.
Ordering prizes
To reward your child for getting involved, they’ll receive a prize based on the total amount they’ve raised.
