Color Run Safety

What to wear

We suggest that the students come to school in plain clothes that you are comfortable with getting wet / coloured.

  • We request student participants wanting colour powder wear a WHITE t-shirt.

  • We request non-colour powder student participants wear a NON-WHITE t-shirt (ie. a coloured shirt such as green or red or blue).

  • Joggers/running shoes.

  • Students must wear a hat and sunscreen. Please apply before you leave the house in the morning. Sunscreen also helps the colour wash off afterwards.

  • Please also pack a towel for clean-up afterwards.

  • We recommend students remove watches or jewellery for the event.

Safety

If you have any concerns about:

  • EYES – students can wear sunglasses/goggles/safety clear shields.

  • HAIR - blonde/ light hair students that may be concerned their hair will absorb the colour. If so, please tie hair back and up under their hat/cap. Option to wear a bathing cap under hat or rub coconut oil into hair prior to the event.

  • INHALING/INJESTING – students can carry a bandana or scarf and wear over their nose/mouth.

  • HYDRATION – water stations in addition to normal school drinking bubblers are available on the course to keep students hydrated. Oranges will also be provided as each group finishes their race.
